The Business
Pioneer Builders, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been serving the western part of Washington state since 1978. Started by father Tim Uhler, the keys to the business have largely been handed over to sons Bryan and Tim. The brothers work hand-in-hand, with Bryan operating the business while Tim spends his time largely on the jobsite bringing architectural drawings to life. More than 40 years later, Pioneer Builders has created a strong reputation with a specialty in high-performance single-family new construction.

Pioneers Builders recently embarked on a 1,700 sq. ft. ranch-style home utilizing LP® SmartSide® Smooth Trim & Siding for the first time. “We’ve been using cedar grain textured LP SmartSide Trim & Siding for years, but LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding allows us to achieve a simplistic, clean aesthetic to meet that growing demand,” says Bryan.
They used LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding to add a modern flair to the ranch's traditional features, which includes an open, single-story design, low-pitched roof and attached front garage. Pleased with the final product, the brothers are currently using LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding on a variety of upcoming builds, including a mid-century modern and modern farmhouse, to accentuate each style's architectural features in a fresh way.
