LP® SmartGuard® Process: Why It Matters
Tough to the Core
- Zinc borate. Zinc borate has effectively been used as a deterrent for termites and fungal growth for decades. This additive is safely used in many household products, and provides long-lasting performance that preserves the beauty of engineered wood.
- Adhesive resins. LP Shed products offer incredible resistance to impact damage thanks in part to industrial-grade adhesive resins that enhance strength. You can be confident that your shed will stand up to everyday collisions with golf balls, rocks, sticks and more. Special water-resistant waxes coat each strand or fiber of wood for enhanced durability in rainy, humid environments.
- Resin-saturated overlay. This layer provides the final layer of protection for the products. The resin-saturated overlay helps keep liquid water out while creating a tough-adhering base for the paint color of your choice.
