IBS 2016 Recap
Last week, we exhibited at the 2016 International Builders' Show held in Las Vegas, Nevada. An estimated 50,000 building professionals from around the world attended the three-day show hosted by the National Association of Home Builders. The LP Building Products booth attracted show attendees who stopped by the booth to check out our exciting interactive displays and product demos.
This year at the show, we debuted the new LP FlameBlock I-Joist, which combines the strength of an LP SolidStart I-Joist with LP FlameBlock’s proven, patented, non-combustible Pyrotite coating to slow the effects of heat and flames. We also put the spotlight on a few other products that help meet fire codes more efficiently, like LP FlameBlock Fire-Rated OSB Sheathing in several UL approved assemblies and LP Solidstart, an LSL product that is dimensionally stable for straighter and simpler installation. Like the FlameBlock I-Joist, LP SolidStart is a great option for builders looking to meet the 2012 and 2015 IRC codes.

What Should Homeowners Prioritize in a Build?
Whether it's a new phone, clothes, or a family car, today we're often resigned to the fact that the new things we own won't last forever. However, there is one thing that we still expect to endure for the long haul, and that's our homes.
