Building Success – A Toast to Ten Years
LP Peace Valley, our British Columbia-based OSB mill, is proudly celebrating ten years of service and operations. The mill originally opened in 2005 as a joint venture between LP and Canfor Corporation. LP took over operations of the mill in 2012 and purchased the mill outright in 2013. Since day one, the mill has always manufactured oriented strand board for LP, one of the largest OSB producers in the world.
LP executive vice president Brad Southern and OSB operations vice president Jamey Barnes joined Mac Palmiere, regional OSB manufacturing manager, pictured with LP Peace Valley employees to celebrate the milestone at the Fort St. John, B.C. mill.
"The team at Peace Valley has been an important part of LP for the past decade," stated Barnes. "Their role is one of the most important in our company. My thanks to the entire team at 'The Peace' for taking safety, quality and environmental compliance seriously. I look forward to seeing what the next ten years will bring in overall performance improvements."
As Peace Valley celebrates this notable milestone, we celebrate the core values and vision our employees uphold, both on the jobsite and off. LP is founded on trust, respect and workplace safety. When a mill achieves a milestone of this caliber, it speaks volumes to the core competencies that have been laid as the foundation to the company, and the people who carry these values forward with them each day.
LP is constantly at work to provide the best workplace culture and environment, and we love seeing our team members achieve greatness. Cheers to the next decade of building success, Peace Valley!
