Bill and Betsy Owens founded Owens Construction in 1982 after working on various remodeling projects throughout college, eventually shaping it into one of the most respected remodeling companies serving central Ohio. As a full-service design and construction company, Owens Construction is a one-stop shop to guide customers through the entire remodeling process thoroughly, seamlessly and efficiently.

Bill Owens recently extended his geographic reach to the mountainous Flagstaff, Arizona to lead the remodel of a 900 sq. ft. A-frame home as part of the Professional Remodeler Model ReModel West project, which is one of two of the publication’s remodeling projects that was detailed from concept to completion in 2019. Specifically, the remodel featured the new LP® SmartSide® ExpertFinish® Trim & Siding. Owens paired the prefinished engineered wood trim and siding with stone elements and a green roof to achieve what he calls a “mountain contemporary” aesthetic.
Owens used LP SmartSide ExpertFinish Trim & Siding in Quarry Gray to put a modern twist on the traditional mountain home. He says the longer lengths allowed him to play up the sharp lines of the A-frame design with less seams while the color complemented the earthy tones of the mountainous environment. In addition to LP’s ability to help him achieve this unique look, Owens was impressed with the workability of the product.
