How It Works
- Log in to Zapier
- Access your Zapier dashboard
- Create a new Zap
- Click “Make a Zap”
- Set Cognito Forms as the trigger
- Choose “Cognito Forms” → “New Entry” as the trigger event
- Add Google Chat as the action
- Select “Send Message” in the Google Chat app
- Connect your Google Workspace account and pick the chat space or user
- Map entry fields to message content
- Link Cognito Forms fields to the message text, cards, or attachments
- Test the Zap
- Submit a sample entry and confirm the message appears in Google Chat
- Activate the Zap
- Turn on the Zap to enable ongoing message automation

- Create a new scenario
- Click “Create a new scenario”
- Set Cognito Forms as the trigger
- Add “Watch New Entries” module for Cognito Forms
- Use the Create a Webhook / Choose a hook
- Connect your account and select the form
- Add Google Chat as the action
- Add “Create Message” module for Google Chat
- Connect your Google Workspace account and select the target space
- Map entry data to message fields
- Align Cognito Forms fields with the message text and attachments
- Test the scenario
- Run once, submit a test entry, and verify the message in Google Chat
- Activate the scenario
